Im currently driving the 2018 2.0 escape fwd and i cant get my mpg higher than 20. Does anyone else have the same problem and have found a solution?

first off, if you are mostly city driving then the stop-and-go can drag your mpg down. also, check your tire pressure, cuz low tire pressure can hurt the fuel economy. it also depends on how you drive it, try to be easy on the gas and brakes and see if there is a difference. also a clogged air filter and old spark plugs can lower your mpg so you might wanna check those too.

there are a few factors that can cause tht, man. it can be a mechanical issue or just your driving habits

Haha yup, been there I've got the same 2.0 fwd and it loves gas like it's a hobby. I hover around 20 too, especially with city driving. Best I've done is maybe 24 on long, chill highway trips with cruise control

Start by checking the tire pressure, give the MAF sensor a good clean, and make sure you've got a fresh air filter in there. Also, keep in mind that these vehicles don't really thrive on short trips or stop-and-go traffic. Try easing up on the gas a little and see if that helps improve your mileage

Absolutely right, those are the fundamentals that really matter. The short trip dilemma plays a big role in fuel efficiency. Taking care of maintenance like that can often resolve MPG issues before you need to look into anything more complicated
