Don't get me wrong. I do have the budget for a brand new but my daughter is just practicing on her first car and I figured this is a better option. Once she's ready, she can get a new one. Anyway, the secondhand car is good. But the problem is, it starts on its own and it's quite scary. It doesn't have the remove start but when you randomly check out the garage at night you'll hear it running. But there're no warnings at all and my scans are great.

Are we being haunted?

This is the first time I've ever heard of a case like this lol. Interesting. I think an exorcist is what you need. Kidding.

Hahaha, what... Yeah, I don't know about that. It's the first time I heard of it. Heard of "not working" but not "working on its own."

Man, that's honestly spooky if it's true!
Are you sure your car doesn't have a remote start?
Maybe your daughter's just pulling a prank on you?

That's crazy! It sounds like you might be dealing with a sticking starter relay or an ignition switch problem. There's also a chance it could be a wiring short, especially if there's any aftermarket wiring involved. I'd reccommend getting it looked at as soon as you can. In the meantime, it's a good idea to disconnect the battery when you're parked. It's not haunted, it's just some pesky electircal issues

Yep, you're right about the usual suspects. Good call on getting it checked ASAP and pulling the battery cable to stop any drain or damage
