how can I determine the engine of my 2018 Escape?

I'm attempting to identify the engine in my 2018 Ford Escape. The EPA sticker under the hood states 2.5L, but I want to double check.

Is there another way to confirm the code or engine type?

Yeah, besides the EPA sticker, you can check the VIN usually the 8th digit tells the engine type and also the engine code's often stamped on the block or inside the hood latch area

You can use an online VIN decoder specific to Ford to input your full VIN and it should provide detailed build information, including the exact engine code.
But for a start, the engine options for the 2018 Ford Escape were primarily a 2.5L 4-cylinder, a 1.5L EcoBoost 4-cylinder (turbocharged), and a 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder (turbocharged).

It's been a while since you posted @UrbanEscape, so just checking in to see if you ended up confirming the engine type. Did the VIN decoder give you what you needed or did you find another method that worked better? Would be great to hear what did the trick. It could help others who run into the same thing.
