MyKey restrictions

I bought my grandparent's 2018 Escape and I'm running into a frustrating MyKey issue. They had set a bunch of restrictions, including a speed limit of 80 MPH, maximum radio volume, and even disabled the dome lights while driving. They couldn't find the admin key and only handed me over a MyKey. I called the local Ford dealership and they quoted me $350-$400 just for a new admin key, which I'd really rather avoid if there's any way around it. Has anyone successfully bypassed these MyKey settings on a 2018 Escape without buying an expensive new admin key from the dealer? Any tips or tricks would be hugely appreciated!

Without an admin key, Ford really locks things down and unfortunately, there's no way to remove mykey settings with just a MyKey, I think you should skip the dealership and find a mobile locksmith who can program a new admin key, its usually way cheaper. I've seen it done for around $150 to 200 depending on the area

Read somewhere that you can use FORScan with an OBD-II adapter to reset MyKey settings without the admin key. Not sure if anyone here can say the same thing

I honestly think MyKey is one of Ford's worst ideas, it punishes second owners and does nothing to improve safety. Charging $400 to remove settings on a car you already own feels more like ransom than service.
