Remote start acting up

I got a 2020 Ford Escape and my remote start has been kinda acting up over the winter. I'm guessing it has something to do with the temperature drop. I didn't want to bother at first but then I got time now to check on it. Anyone else had the same problem?

@down4aride it's mostly bcs of the low battery, it's the first thing you need to check. consulting a reliable mechanic would be great for you!

It must be because of the temperature drop but then again, have you done routine maintenance for your Escape? Might be that. Don't miss out just because of the winter. It's spring now so most likely the problem has resolved?

I had a similar problem.. my remote start was like a hit or miss last winter but it turned out that my hood wasn't completely latched.
I guess melted snow prevented it from closing fully.
I then read the system won't let you remote start if that's the case as a safety feature!
