replacing the blower motor without breaking my back

Man, the factory blower motor in my mom's car is totally dead, and it's the DUMBEST design and in the WORST spot EVER! I think the engineers should have their a$$ kicked for designing this

Is there some kind of replacement kit I can just slap in to fix this shtty setup?

She doesn't have 700 bucks just chillin' to get it replaced professionally, but the replacement is such a buzz kill

Yeah! I checked YT for how to fix it, and I thought the video was a JOKE when it said you gotta take out the GAS PEDAL first, then unplugging the computer brains, yanking out a bunch of brackets (Seriously, why put it in such a stupid place)

Why didn't they putting it by the glove box like EVERY OTHER Ford? It's like they don't want us to replace it ourselves haha

It's hard to replace it, but winter's coming, and my mom kinda need heat in the car!

Yeaaah, some blower motors in Ford models are really badly placed. Too bad that includes even the Escape (if it's just the Fusion I wouldn't mind LOL). Unfortunately there isn't any shortcut kit for this. Either you brace through it or just pay the expensive labor fees!!! But if you're a really patient person, you probably wouldn't mind the long DIY process. You thinking of giving it a go?

@WrongGuy There aren't really easy plug and play kits for that mess, but sometimes aftermarket motors come with slightly better connectors or mounting options and could save you a bit of hassle otherwise, it's a painful job no matter what, sorry

Dude, I feel your pain! Some engineers definitely deserve a good kick for those blower motor designs. Unfortunately, there's no 'easy button' kit to move it to a better spot, just replacement motors. It's usually a full contortion act. Bummer, right?
