keep up maintenance on my 2017 Ford Escape

I usually keep up with all the maintenance on my 2017 Ford Escape, but since I've only been driving it a few hundred miles each month, I'm not sure how much oil life is left. I looked through the menus but couldn't find anything about checking it. I can reset it, but is there a way to see the current oil life?

You can't check the oil life on the dash in the '17 Escape, you can only reset it. If you have the FordPass app, that's your best option. Otherwse, just go for time-based changes since you're not driving much. I'd reccommend changing it at least once a year

If you can't find the oil life percentage in the menus, it's probably because it's not displayed directly on your model. it should be there somewhere, I presume, usually, you hold the info button on the dash or scroll through the settings with the steering controls

Why wouldn't Ford make the current oil life percentage easier to find especially for drivers who aren't racking up miles but still want to stay on top of maintenance?

Ford didn't include a live oil life percentage readout on 2017 like some other models, you'll only get a maintenance reminder when it's time to change the oil, based on time and mileage, annoying yh, but you'll have to rely on that message or just stick to your own interval
