Replacing battery

I have a 2017 SE and just would like to check with the folks here what's the easiest way to change the battery?

Do i remove the cowl and the wipers? or try to reach under the cowl after taking out the air box? because i rather avoid messing with the cowl but reaching under looks quite hard too. Any advice?

My family's old Escape had to do both the induction removal and the cowl, too. As far as I recall if I recall correctly since I was kinda little then, the cowl removal was quicker? Did you have to do a BMS reset after the battery?

Yep, you need to take off the cowl and wipers. i know it sounds like it's too much of a job but it keeps things safe

I'll be going against the grain here. Sometimes squeezing under the cowl after taking out the air box is the path of least resistance. If you're finding it tricky, grab a flashlight and a flexible socket wrench. Have you checked if the battery cables are easy to reach first?

Do you already have the replacement battery? Most dealers install it free if you buy it from them.

Absolutely! It's a great idea because they'll check how well your alternator is charging too, plus they can swap the battery without messing your car settings. Do you happen to have a new battery ready to go? If you buy one from the dealership or any other stores, they usually throw in the installation for free!
